Arab Parliament calls joint action on human rights

The Arab Parliament Tuesday said there is a need to strengthen joint Arab action in the field of human rights.

The pan-Arab legislature renewed urged Arab League countries to accede to the statute of the Arab Court of Human Rights so that it can begin its work as soon as possible, as it is one of the important and pivotal mechanisms for strengthening the Arab human rights system.

At the meeting of the Arab Human Rights Committee (the Charter Committee) of the League, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Asoumi, noted that all Arab countries had fulfilled their obligations related to submitting their periodic reports to the committee on their set dates.
