Cairo: The Arab Parliament and Russia’s State Duma emphasized the urgent need to end Israel’s ongoing offensive in the Gaza Strip during discussions held on Wednesday.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Arab Parliament released a joint statement in which Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi and Russian State Duma Deputy Chairman Alexander Babakov highlighted the necessity for final political solutions to regional conflicts. They called for these solutions to be reached without foreign intervention, ensuring the security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Arab nations.
Babakov reiterated Russia’s complete support for the Arab call to cease the aggression immediately. Al Yamahi further emphasized the Arab Parliament’s dedication to enhancing parliamentary relations with the Russian Federation across various levels. He expressed support for the rapid establishment of an Arab-Russian parliamentary forum and endorsed the Arab Parliament’s involvement in the BRICS+ Parliamentary Forum.
