The Arab League Wednesday held the Israeli fully responsible for the wellbeing of Palestinian prisoner Anhar Deek, who is expecting to deliver her baby.
The pan-Arab organisation urged CSO’s around the world to pressure the Israeli authorities into abiding by the international law.
Arab League Assistant Secretary-General Said Abu Ali said in a press statement the General Secretariat is “following with grave concern the suffering” of Palestinian prisoners, some of whom are children, sick, women and elderly, the statement read.
Deek, who is due within days, is suffering from the lack of medical attention, the statement said, highlighting this runs counter to the principles of human rights and humanitarian values.
