The Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers stressed the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and its role in safeguarding the holy places.
The move came as the 156th regular session of the Arab League concluded, yesterday in Cairo, as the Arab top diplomats welcomed Jordan’s presidency over the Arab Ministerial Committee concerned with taking steps to stop the illegal Israeli measures in occupied Jerusalem.
