Cairo, The Arab League Friday inveighed against the Israeli forces’ raid on Jenin and its refugee camp, which claimed lives and injured scores of civilians.
The pan-Arab organisation said in a statement that turning a deaf ear to the storming of residential areas and hospitals and the killing of Palestinians threatens to detonate the situation in the occupied territories and unleash violence.
The spokesman for the Secretary-General, Jamal Rushdi, said, “Aboul Gheit is following the developments in the occupied territories with concern, denouncing the state of international silence regarding what is happening, which reveals flagrant double standards and complicity that is rejected and reprehensible.”
