Amman: Arab Bank has announced the official adoption of the digital ID available through the “Sanad” app across all its branches, becoming the first bank in Jordan to offer this service. The new system allows customers to complete banking transactions using a verified digital ID instead of the physical identification card, providing a faster, easier, and more secure experience.
According to Jordan News Agency, the move is part of Arab Bank’s ongoing commitment to driving digital transformation with maximum speed, efficiency, and security. Through the new service, customers can present their digitally certified ID via the Sanad app by scanning the QR code displayed in the digital document, which will be officially recognized as a valid form of identification at the bank’s branches throughout the Kingdom.
This initiative was implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the governmental body enabling Jordan’s digital infrastructure, which seeks to expand the use of digital IDs across sectors through strategic initiatives aimed at streamlining processes and improving service efficiency.
The bank’s adoption of the Sanad digital ID further affirms its leadership in embracing cutting-edge digital innovation and reflects its strategy to offer advanced banking services that enhance operational efficiency and elevate the customer experience.
