Amman: The Amman-based Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN), an independent non-profit organization, has unveiled its achievements and ongoing initiatives in its 2025 annual report. The report highlights APN's commitment to agricultural rehabilitation, impact, and mobilization.
According to Jordan News Agency, APN successfully implemented several agricultural initiatives across Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon. In Jordan, the Green Caravan program was instrumental in planting 34,415 fruit trees, directly benefiting 807 farmers. This effort is part of APN's broader objective to enhance food sovereignty and protect land resources in a region facing significant political and humanitarian challenges.
Additionally, the Economic Empowerment and Enhancement of Food and Water Security Project in the Jordan Valley was concluded. This project focused on distributing trees and seeds, rehabilitating water infrastructure, supporting beekeepers, and empowering women through various productive projects. Overall, the program resulted in the planting of approximately 269,000 trees.
