Amman:A workshop titled "Highlighting Support for Innovation" was organized by the Amman Chamber of Industry, aiming to assist small and medium-sized industrial enterprises in adopting innovative practices to enhance competitiveness and explore new markets. The event took place at the chamber's branch within the Jordan Investors Association headquarters in King Abdullah II Industrial City, Sahab.
According to Jordan News Agency, the workshop was a collaborative effort with the Innovative Private Sector Development Approaches for Employment Promotion (I-PSD) project, implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The initiative was supported by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Participants were introduced to modern tools and practical solutions aimed at developing industrial products and services, improving quality and operational efficiency, and reshaping business processes. The workshop emphasized innovation as a key strategy for enhancing competitiveness in both local and international markets, while also supporting sustainable growth.
Mujahid Rajabi, President of the Jordan Investors Association, highlighted innovation's critical role in improving industrial enterprises' efficiency and national production lines. He also praised the Amman Chamber of Industry's efforts and partnerships, which help extend the reach of Jordanian products in regional and global markets.
The I-PSD GIZ project team showcased a variety of technical services and solutions, including innovation-readiness assessments, specialized consultancy, and programs designed to help companies access and expand in new markets.
Interactive activities during the workshop aimed to foster innovative thinking among company and factory owners, simplifying the concepts and applications of innovation and demonstrating the potential returns from adopting modern technologies and practices.
The event concluded with an announcement that industrial companies can now apply for consultancy and technical assistance through the I-PSD GIZ project's innovation programs, which are designed to bolster their competitiveness and promote continued growth.
