Amman: Total trading volume on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD20.5 million on Sunday, with 4.7 million shares traded through 4,553 transactions. The ASE general share price index rose 0.33 percent to close at 3,803 points, driven by gains across all three main sectors.
According to Jordan News Agency, the industrial sector posted the strongest increase, rising 1.33 percent. The services sector followed with a rise of 0.12 percent, while the financial sector saw a marginal gain of 0.07 percent.
Of the 104 listed companies whose shares traded, 33 recorded gains. However, 38 companies closed lower compared with their previous closing prices.
