Amman Retina Meeting to kick off next Wednesday

The Amman Retina Meeting 2022 will kick off on the first of June at the Fairmont Hotel in Amman.

The meeting is organized by the Middle East Africa Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO) in collaboration with the Jordanian Ophthalmological Society and Jordan Hospital.

The meeting’s organizer Faisal Fayyad on Sunday said the meeting is a major event in the Middle East and Africa region with a big international turnout of experts alongside global medical organizations specializing in retinal diseases.

Over the span of three days, the conference will present major updates through plenary sessions and scientific symposia, he added.

He noted that countries participating in the event include Palestine, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Yemen, Turkey, Greece, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Britain, France, the United States, and Argentina. He predicted a turnout of more than 400 physicians from 30 countries.

The meeting’s organizing committee representative Muawyah Bdour stated that the meeting will tackle the latest developments in the research and treatment of the retina with the aim of training physicians on the latest methods of diagnosing and treating retinal diseases, in addition to training workshops and discussions that reflect Jordan’s advanced medical sector.
