Al Maqasid Charity Hospital Provides Free Treatment to 487 Patients in Zarqa

Zarqa: Al Maqasid Charity Hospital, affiliated with the Jordanian Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, treated 487 patients during its free medical day launched in Zarqa governorate. In a statement, the hospital's Director General, Dr. Bassam Shloul, highlighted the involvement of a medical team from various specialties in the initiative, which was part of the Preaching and Guidance Forums under the auspices of Awqaf Minister, Dr. Mohammad Khalaileh.

According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Shloul emphasized that the staff conducted medical and laboratory tests for the patients and dispensed free medications. Ultrasound scans were also used to examine pregnant women and provide necessary treatments. He noted that the number of beneficiaries of the free medical days implemented by the hospital since the beginning of this year has reached 1,812 cases over five days.

The hospital's goal is to provide free healthcare services to local communities with support from the Zakat Fund. Since 2018, Al Maqasid Charity Hospital has conducted 125 free medical days in various governorates of the Kingdom, treating more than 69,000 patients.
