Tripoli: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Benin, Corinne Amory Broni, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and encouraging investment between the two countries. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union in Ethiopia.
According to Libyan News Agency, both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination, consultation, and mutual support in regional and international forums. This reflects the depth of relations between Libya and Benin while strengthening joint African action.
The discussions also covered opportunities to expand economic cooperation and encourage investment between the two countries. Additionally, the importance of strengthening African relations and activating cooperation frameworks within the African Union was underscored.
The two sides exchanged views on the latest political and security developments in the region. They stressed the importance of supporting efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability and promoting peace and development on the African continent.
