Agriculture Minister Engages in Arab Agricultural Development Discussions

Amman: Minister of Agriculture Saeb Khraisat participated in the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development's (AOAD) 39th General Assembly on Thursday. The meeting was held virtually and included sessions led by technical experts focusing on the work of AOAD's technical, financial, and administrative committees.

According to Jordan News Agency, the sessions also concentrated on key programs and strategic plans designed to strengthen pan-Arab agricultural cooperation and knowledge exchange. During the event, Minister Khraisat highlighted AOAD's essential role in advancing agricultural development and enhancing food security across the region.

Minister Khraisat called for increased coordination among member states to tackle the challenges facing the agricultural sector, such as climate change, water scarcity, and rising production costs. Meanwhile, participants reviewed the progress of joint Arab agricultural initiatives and examined ways to enhance future programs supporting sustainable agricultural development. These efforts aim to boost productivity, promote technology transfer, and facilitate the exchange of technical expertise.
