Abu Dhabi Police and PSD Strengthen Security Cooperation

Abu dhabi: A delegation from the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Security and Policing Sciences at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ discussed with Director General of Public Security Directorate (PSD) Maj. Gen. Dr. Obaidullah Maayta, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange security expertise.

According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions during the delegation’s visit to the PSD’s headquarters focused on developing specialized academic and training programs in security and police sciences. These programs aim to keep pace with rapid changes in the regional and international security environment and contribute to raising the level of institutional performance.

Maj. Gen. Dr. Maayta emphasized the strong Jordanian-Emirati relations, highlighting the partnership between Jordanian police institutes and the Saif Bin Zayed Academy. He acknowledged the academy’s role in training personnel and promoting modern concepts of police work.

Brig. Dr. Rashid Bourshid, head of the Abu Dhabi delegation, expressed appreciation for the PSD’s advancements in police operations and training. He also emphasized the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ’s commitment to expanding joint cooperation, especially with the PSD’s Royal Police Academy, recognized as a key specialized scientific institution in the region.
