Abdulsalam discusses region situation in Moscow with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister

The head of the national delegation, negotiator Mohamed Abdulsalam, met on Thursday in Moscow with the Russian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs – Special Presidential Representative on the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov.

The meeting reviewed the situation in the region, particularly the condemnation and rejection of genocide in Gaza, and the need to intensify international efforts to pressure America and Israel to stop it.

The meeting discussed the latest developments in the negotiation and discussion with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, mediated by the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, on developments in Yemen’s political process.

At the meeting, the head of the national negotiating delegation provided an explanation of Yemen’s position in favour of Gaza and the US-UK aggression against it to protect Israel.

He said, “America would have preferred to stop the aggression against the Gaza Strip and bring humanitarian aid into it, not to go towards militarizing the Red Sea.”
