Discussing rationing situation and food stocks in Taiz

A meeting in Taiz province today, Wednesday,headed by the Governor's Undersecretary, Taha Hammam Al-Burahi, discussed the food supply situation in the province and the districts. The meeting, which included the director of Industry and Trade Office in the provincr, Afif Al-Dhabhani, and the directors of departments and sections in the office, touched on the level of the strategic stock of foodstuffs and basic commodities in the province and the importance of forming a local committee for the reserve stock and control of the necessary goods and services to support the Office of Industry and Trade to carry out its legal tasks. At the meeting, Al-Burahi stressed the keenness to activate daily monitoring mechanisms for prices in a way that contributes to maintaining market stability and developing work mechanisms, evaluation and follow-up of market movement to achieve supply and commodity stability to protect the consumer. Undersecretary Al-Burahi stressed taking legal measures and submitting the work plan of the field committees to monitor the goods and ensure their suitability for use and the necessary requirements for their storage. For his part, the Director of the Office of Industry and Trade, Al-Dhabhani, explained the keenness to stabilize the rationing situation in the province, the stock of basic foodstuffs, and coordination between the office and other relevant government agencies.
