The General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah and Visiting at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance received 496,275 calls from pilgrims at the toll free number 8002451000 between the beginning of this year's Hajj season and mid-Dhul Hijjah.
The secretariat tasked several ministry preachers with full knowledge of the Hajj and Umrah rituals by providing translations in 10 languages: Arabic, English, French, Turkish, Hindi, Amharic, Azeri, Hausa, Indonesian and Bengali. People can call the toll free number 24 hours a day.
