Amman:Senate President Faisal Fayez on Monday praised the professionalism and relentless efforts of the security bodies and the Jordan Armed Forces in combating extremism and preventing terrorist attacks aimed at destabilizing the nation's security and unity.
According to Jordan News Agency, Fayez expressed pride in the security services for their swift action in apprehending the "cowardly killers and terrorists" who attacked innocent citizens at a church in Hmoud village, Karak Governorate.
Fayez extended congratulations to His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and the Jordanian people on the capture of the perpetrators, describing it as a "national achievement." He noted that this accomplishment underscores the successes of Jordan's security bodies and armed forces in safeguarding the nation and its people.
The Senate President emphasized that Jordan's security services and armed forces remain vigilant against threats, ensuring the nation's security and unity. He lauded their role in defending the country against forces of darkness and terrorism, as well as any attempts to harm Jordan.
Fayez affirmed Jordan's resilience against evil forces, driven by the determination of His Majesty and supported by the awareness of its citizens. He assured the Senate's continued support for the armed forces and security bodies, recognizing them as the "nation's shield and guardians of its security and stability."
