Karak:Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya and Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidullah Al-Maaytah held a joint press conference at the Karak Governorate headquarters to discuss the recent terrorist attack on the Greek Orthodox Church in Humud village, Karak Governorate.
According to Jordan News Agency, the press conference was held to brief the public on the details of the security incident and the latest developments. Al-Faraya began by praying for the victims, expressing condolences to their families, the citizens of Karak, and all Jordanians affected by the tragedy. He emphasized that the attack was a terrorist operation conducted by perpetrators of a heinous act and stated that it would only strengthen the resolve of Jordanians to oppose violence and extremism.
Al-Maaytah reported that the attack resulted in the deaths of seven people and injuries to 34 others. He assured that those responsible for the attack would be apprehended and brought to justice promptly, with appropriate legal measures to be enforced against them.
