Amman:Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho is set to visit Jordan on October 29-30 for Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Week, as announced by the event organizers. The event will feature the "DF UNCAGED" fight night at the Roman Theatre in Amman, showcasing both Jordanian and international fighters.
According to Jordan News Agency, Ronaldinho expressed his excitement about the visit in a video message on Instagram, where he mentioned looking forward to meeting his fans in Jordan. The MMA Week is part of a broader international sports and tourism initiative aimed at promoting sports tourism and enhancing Jordan's international profile.
The week's program includes 13 fights, open training sessions at the Dead Sea, and activities at various historical and tourist sites. These events are organized under the supervision of the Jordan Mixed Martial Arts Federation with support from several Jordanian government entities, including the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board.
Activities will commence on October 27 with a press conference at the Odeon Theatre, where organizers, fighters, and guests will present details of the event. This will be followed by open training sessions at the Dead Sea on October 28, and an official weigh-in at Amman's Citadel on October 29. The events are designed to link sporting activities with local tourism, attracting visitors and showcasing Jordan's attractions through media coverage.
