Aqaba:A delegation from the US Chamber of Commerce visited Aqaba to explore potential investment opportunities in the city's industrial, logistics, digital technology, and tourism sectors.
According to Jordan News Agency, the visit was hosted by the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), and coordinated by the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham-Jordan). Representatives from over 30 American companies met with local business leaders and decision-makers as part of a larger trade mission to Jordan.
The trade mission included more than 60 corporate representatives from sectors such as energy, artificial intelligence, information and communication technology, healthcare, finance, infrastructure, and agribusiness. Delegates focused on Aqaba's strategic advantages, including its industrial and digital infrastructure, transport networks, and the benefits offered by the US-Jordan Free Trade Agreement.
During their visit, delegates toured various facilities, including the Classic Fashion Apparel Industry factory, the Aqaba National Vocational Training center, the Aqaba Digital Hub, and the Aqaba port ecosystem. ASEZA Chief Commissioner Shadi Majali highlighted Aqaba's business-friendly environment and its strategic connectivity to regional and global markets.
ADC CEO Hussein Safadi reaffirmed the corporation's commitment to assisting foreign investors throughout the investment process, from initial exploration to project execution. AmCham-Jordan Chair Samer Judeh emphasized the importance of the tour in providing US executives with a firsthand understanding of Aqaba's multimodal transport networks and its competitive investment climate.
