Amman:Jordan has reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in response to Houthi attacks, committing to support all measures taken by Riyadh to ensure its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.
According to Jordan News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi communicated Jordan's stance during a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
Safadi condemned the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, including attempts to target Mecca and Medina, as well as ongoing strikes on civilian and economic facilities. He also reiterated Jordan's support for Yemen's legitimate government, advocating for a resolution to the Yemeni crisis that would restore security and stability while preserving the country's unity, sovereignty, and resources, and meeting the aspirations of the Yemeni people in accordance with recognized frameworks.
The discussion between the two ministers also covered regional developments and efforts to end the dangerous escalation across the region, with both expressing their support for initiatives aimed at establishing lasting security and stability.
Safadi and Prince Faisal further emphasized the longstanding ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the importance of continued coordination and cooperation on both bilateral and regional issues.
