Jordan Denounces Houthi Militia Attacks on Saudi Arabia

Amman:Jordan on Tuesday condemned ongoing attacks by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, highlighting attempts to target Mecca and Medina, as well as assaults on civilian and economic facilities in several Saudi cities.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs labeled these attacks as a blatant violation of Saudi sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability, alongside being a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The ministry expressed Jordan's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in confronting the Houthi attacks, supporting measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security, stability, sovereignty, resources, citizens, and residents.

Additionally, Jordan reaffirmed its support for Yemen's legitimate government and advocated for resolving the Yemeni crisis based on recognized frameworks that aim to restore security and stability, preserve Yemen's unity and sovereignty, and fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni people.

The ministry also endorsed Saudi efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable political settlement in Yemen and acknowledged its leadership within the coalition supporting Yemen's legitimate government.
