Jordanian Delegation and Saudi Business Leaders Discuss Economic Cooperation

Riyadh:A Jordanian parliamentary delegation led by MP Abdul Baset Al-Kabariti, head of the Jordanian-Saudi Parliamentary Brotherhood Committee, met with Saudi business leaders in Riyadh to discuss expanding economic and investment cooperation.

According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting included discussions with Federation of Saudi Chambers Vice President Khaled bin Mohammad Al-Saikhan and Saudi-Jordanian Business Council Chairman Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thubeiti. The discussions aimed at exploring ways to enhance bilateral economic ties.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Qannas, head of the Saudi-Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the Saudi Shura Council, and Jordanian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Haitham Abu Al-Foul, along with members of the business council and the federation. Al-Kabariti highlighted the strategic nature of bilateral relations under the leadership of both nations' monarchs and emphasized the importance of moving from identifying to executing investment projects for economic growth.

Al-Kabariti presented several key investment opportunities in Jordan, such as the National Railway project, renewable energy initiatives, and the Amman-Zarqa light rail project, among others. He noted that aligning Saudi Vision 2030 with Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision offers a platform for joint ventures.

Representatives from the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Saudi-Jordanian Business Council stressed the need for direct engagement between private sector leaders and overcoming procedural hurdles facing investors. The Jordanian delegation also included several MPs, highlighting the collaborative nature of the discussions.
