Jordan and Italy Discuss Investment and Business Expansion

Amman:Minister of Investment Tarek Abu Ghazaleh and Italian Ambassador to Jordan Pier Luigi Zamporlini held discussions on Thursday focused on expanding investment cooperation and strengthening business ties between Jordan and Italy.

According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Ghazaleh emphasized the importance of leveraging the strong relations between the two countries by engaging more with Italian companies, institutions, and investors. He highlighted the need to connect them with investment opportunities and projects available in Jordan.

The discussions also included a review of a recent Jordanian delegation visit to Milan, which aimed to build on the interest expressed by Italian companies and institutions in Jordanian investment opportunities. Abu Ghazaleh stressed the importance of translating this interest into concrete partnerships and projects.

Additionally, the two sides explored ways to increase Italian participation in the Jordan-EU Investment Conference scheduled for November 19 at the Dead Sea. Abu Ghazaleh described the conference as a key platform for connecting European companies with Jordanian investment opportunities and fostering partnerships between private-sector companies from both regions.

He further underscored Jordan's efforts to position itself as a stable and reliable investment destination, citing its strategic location, trade agreements, skilled workforce, and recent legislative and procedural reforms aimed at facilitating business and supporting regional market access.

Ambassador Zamporlini affirmed Italy's interest in enhancing economic and investment ties with Jordan. He expressed commitment to continuing coordination and support for the investment conference, which he believes will increase Italian company participation and broaden economic and investment cooperation prospects between the two countries.
