Amman:Jadara University President Habis Al-Zoubi engaged in discussions with a delegation from the French Embassy's Department of Cooperation and Cultural Action in Jordan. The delegation, led by Scientific and University Cooperation Attach© Oissila Saaidia, focused on expanding academic and scientific cooperation with French higher education institutions.
According to Jordan News Agency, the talks were aimed at identifying potential areas for institutional partnership and academic exchange, with the goal of creating broader opportunities for collaboration between Jadara University and French universities.
Also present were Campus France Jordan Office Director Maysa Murabit and French Language Education Officer Emma Kerdraon. Al-Zoubi welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the longstanding Jordanian-French relationship and the cooperation efforts supported by His Majesty King Abdullah II. He highlighted Jadara's focus on expanding international academic partnerships, particularly with French universities, to support the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and to enhance opportunities for students and faculty.
Saaidia conveyed appreciation for the reception, noting the visit's value in understanding Jadara's academic programs and exploring cooperation with French universities. She identified potential areas of collaboration, including business administration, engineering, architecture, arts, and social sciences and humanities.
The meeting also featured an invitation for Jadara to partake in a forum organized by the French Scientific Attach©'s Office, intended to connect Jordanian and French universities, facilitating academic exchanges.
Later, the delegation met Shukri Marashdeh, Chairman of Jadara's Board of Trustees, who expressed support for the discussed opportunities and affirmed the university's readiness to pursue further academic cooperation in alignment with its strategic plans.
The visit concluded with Jadara University presenting the delegation with a university shield in recognition of their visit, while the delegation expressed gratitude for the hospitality and stressed the importance of ongoing communication and cooperation.
