Amman:The Jordan Press Association (JPA) has announced the commencement of applications for university grants for the 2026-2027 academic year. These grants will be available to members and their dependents, adhering to specific criteria and regulations set by the association.
According to Jordan News Agency, the application period begins on Tuesday morning and will close at 1200 p.m. on Thursday. Any submissions received after this deadline will not be considered.
For undergraduate dependents of JPA members, eligibility requires that applicants be the sons or daughters of active members who are not receiving other forms of university educational support. Priority is given to students who have not previously benefited from JPA grants. Members can submit one application per child, and grants will be awarded based on the highest Tawjihi scores. High school certificates obtained outside Jordan must be equated by competent national authorities.
For master's degree scholarships, active JPA members must be practicing journalists with settled financial obligations to the association, relevant professional experience, and no prior scholarship support from the JPA. Preference is given to those who have not received graduate scholarships from external sources or educational opportunities through the association.
Applicants for undergraduate grants must provide a certified copy of the 2026 Tawjihi grade transcript, a copy of their national ID card, and an official equivalency certificate for non-Jordanian high school qualifications. Master's degree applicants need to submit a certified copy of their bachelor's degree certificate and transcript, an updated resume detailing their professional experience, a copy of a valid JPA membership card, and a financial clearance certificate from the association.
