Amman:Children were given hands-on exposure to vocational skills, technology, and entrepreneurship during the 2026 Childhood Festival, where the Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) participated alongside the Zaha Cultural Center.
According to Jordan News Agency, the VTC's involvement included interactive activities that introduced vocational training in an engaging, age-appropriate format. The aim was to provide children with an early insight into the skills and career opportunities available in various sectors.
Activities at the festival covered areas such as agriculture, commerce, entrepreneurship, augmented reality (AR), automotive mechanics, and vehicle maintenance. These activities allowed participants to try practical skills, interact with tools, and explore the connection between traditional trades and modern technology.
The collaboration between the VTC and Zaha Cultural Center is focused on introducing vocational education through practical experiences and highlighting the diversity and development within vocational fields. The initiative also aims to raise awareness of vocational education and training among young people, encouraging them to explore their interests and abilities before making educational and career decisions.
By integrating vocational experiences into a children's festival, the VTC seeks to broaden perceptions of technical and practical careers, presenting skills-based learning as a pathway to creativity, innovation, and future opportunities.
