Amman: Lower House Speaker Mazen Qadi on Monday received a copy of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission's 2025 annual report from Commission Chairman Hazem Majali, in the presence of First Deputy Speaker Khamis Atiyeh and several commission members.
According to Jordan News Agency, Qadi stated that the Lower House is actively monitoring the commission's work and responsibilities in safeguarding public funds and reinforcing the national integrity system. He emphasized the significance of collaboration among state institutions to prevent corruption and rectify any administrative and financial issues that may arise.
Qadi highlighted the report's role as a crucial instrument for evaluating the integrity system, identifying challenges faced by the commission, and bolstering preventive measures against corruption. This includes early verification processes, enhanced oversight mechanisms, and increased transparency and accountability in public operations.
Majali provided an overview of the report's major areas and the commission's initiatives throughout the year. He also shared recommendations for improving work strategies and strengthening the prevention of financial and administrative violations.
The meeting also focused on the commission's efforts to promote awareness of integrity and governance principles, as well as fostering partnerships with state institutions. These initiatives aim to ensure adherence to integrity standards, uphold the rule of law, and build public trust in state institutions.
