Paris: Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) President Khalil Haj Tawfiq has labeled the forthcoming Jordan-EU Investment Conference as a "primary driver" for transforming foreign relations into tangible economic initiatives.
According to Jordan News Agency, Haj Tawfiq addressed the Franco-Arab Chamber of Commerce in Paris, expressing JCC's commitment to leveraging its international network to ensure a substantial European presence at the November 19 forum to be held at the Dead Sea. He extended an invitation to the French business sector to engage and explore significant national projects aligned with Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision.
Haj Tawfiq highlighted several key opportunities, including the National Water Carrier Project, national railway networks, and the Amra City development, as well as sectors such as infrastructure, energy, logistics, tourism, and technology. These projects not only aim to attract capital investment but also stimulate various economic sectors, create jobs, and promote technology transfer. They also foster lasting partnerships between Jordanian and European companies, facilitating local project implementation and regional expansion, he explained.
He presented Jordan's advantageous position, emphasizing its regional stability, skilled workforce, strategic trade location, and cultural appeal. "Hearing about Jordan from afar is nothing like experiencing it firsthand," Haj Tawfiq stated, encouraging potential investors to discover a country that combines stability with opportunity. He also noted Jordan's role as a gateway to extensive global trade and regional reconstruction, bolstered by free trade agreements with the EU, US, UK, Canada, Singapore, and Arab states.
The French attendees of the Franco-Arab Chamber acknowledged the invitation positively, commending Jordan's stability and strategic role as a central hub linking regional trade with global markets.
