Irbid Chamber and Indonesia Explore Labor Cooperation Opportunities

Irbid: Irbid Chamber of Industry (ICI) Director General Nidal Al-Sadr met with an Indonesian delegation led by Ahmad Fauzi, labor attach© at the Ministry of Protection of Migrant Workers, to discuss economic and industrial cooperation between Jordan and Indonesia.

According to Jordan News Agency, the discussions focused on investment opportunities and the needs of Jordanian industrial facilities for skilled labor. The ICI emphasized the importance of ensuring that labor recruitment procedures comply with Jordanian legislation and Labor Ministry standards, aiming to meet employers' needs and protect workers' rights and obligations.

Fauzi highlighted that Indonesian workers participate in vocational training programs and are tested professionally before starting work to ensure they possess the necessary skills. The Indonesian delegation expressed interest in visiting industrial facilities in Al-Hassan Industrial Estate. They aim to observe factory operations across sectors such as food processing and garment manufacturing and learn about their labor needs, workplace conditions, and rights.
