JFDA Warns Against Misuse of Mesotherapy Products

Amman: Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) announced that registered mesotherapy products are strictly approved for external use, cautioning against any form of injection or use that allows these products to enter the body.

According to Jordan News Agency, licensed mesotherapy products are internationally classified as cosmetics and are registered with the JFDA's medical devices and supplies registration department. The registration process adheres to approved standards and procedures, and the products undergo certified laboratory testing, which includes appearance and sterility checks, as stated by the JFDA in a press release.

The JFDA has called upon importers, practitioners, and consumers to strictly follow the approved method of use for mesotherapy products. It emphasized not promoting, distributing, or using these products in any manner inconsistent with their registered classification, nature, and intended purpose.

The authority also encouraged individuals with comments, inquiries, or complaints to utilize its official complaints platform via WhatsApp at 0795632000 or its toll-free complaints line at 117114.
