Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti welcomed US Security Coordinator Maj. Gen. Sean M. Salene and an accompanying delegation Monday at the General Command Headquarters. During the meeting, attended by senior Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) officers, Huneiti reviewed avenues of cooperation and coordination with the visiting team.
According to Jordan News Agency, talks covered ways to boost defense and military ties between the two countries, along with other issues of common concern. The delegation members commended Jordan's efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to bring about regional security and stability, and hailed the JAF for its role in addressing regional challenges and reinforcing security. They also noted the level of cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
