Riyadh: The Muslim World League has publicly condemned the E1 settlement plan and associated settlement activities in occupied East Jerusalem. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, a statement from the League's General Secretariat, led by Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, expressed strong opposition to the plan, citing it as a threat to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. The League criticized all illegal Israeli settlement activities in the occupied Palestinian territory, highlighting support and protection of violations and violence by settlers against Palestinians and their property. The statement emphasized that these actions contravene international laws and resolutions and jeopardize peace efforts. Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa urged the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by demanding an immediate halt to violence, violations, and settlement policies that alter the geographic and demographic landscape of the occupied Palestin ian territory. He praised the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt for their solidarity with the Palestinian cause and support for their legitimate rights. The statement underscored the two-state solution as the sole path to achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.
