King Abdullah II Discusses Strengthening Jordan-China Relations in Xinhua Interview

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan recently participated in an interview with Xinhua, the official news agency of China, which was made available in Chinese, English, and Arabic. The interview explored the evolving relations between Jordan and China as the nations prepare to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations next year.

According to Jordan News Agency, the King highlighted his forthcoming visit to China as an opportunity to enhance the strategic partnership in various sectors, including economic, investment, development, and cultural exchanges. The King stressed China's role in promoting international peace and security and its influence in advancing the two-state solution.

The interview included discussions on the 10th anniversary of the China-Jordan strategic partnership, with King Abdullah II acknowledging significant achievements in political trust, economic cooperation, and cultural exchanges. He emphasized the strong foundation of the Jordan-China relationship, which facilitates shared priorities and fosters innovation.

The King also noted the cooperation in the education sector and the substantial Chinese investments in Jordan's energy and mining sectors. Looking ahead, King Abdullah II expressed a desire to expand collaboration in green energy, scientific innovation, and tourism.
