Agriculture Minister Inspects NARC’s Scientific Initiatives

Amman: Minister of Agriculture and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), Dr. Saeb Khraisat, visited the center's headquarters to evaluate ongoing research and applied projects.

According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Khraisat's visit aimed to assess the center's contributions to the advancement of the Kingdom's agricultural sector. During his visit, he was briefed on various programs and research projects, which are designed to enhance productivity and sustainability within the agricultural landscape.

The minister's review focused on the center's efforts to utilize scientific research outputs to support farmers in overcoming challenges. He also examined the National Seed Bank's initiatives for preserving and documenting plant genetic resources. These efforts are crucial for maintaining agricultural biodiversity and safeguarding local varieties, ultimately contributing to food security and the sustainability of agricultural resources.
