Amman: Three people, two women and a child, were killed on Tuesday after being struck by a heavy truck on the Desert Highway, the Public Security Directorate's spokesperson said. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening, prompting an immediate response from local authorities.
According to Jordan News Agency, the directorate's Ma'an Police Department operations room received a report of the accident, leading to a swift deployment of officers to the scene. The truck driver involved in the accident fled, abandoning his vehicle. However, police pursued, located, and arrested the driver shortly afterward.
