Amman: Jordan University Hospital received four children from the Gaza Strip suffering from heart conditions, providing them specialized medical care under humanitarian efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to ease the suffering of Gaza's residents.
According to Jordan News Agency, the children arrived as part of the Jordanian Medical Corridor initiative, which the Kingdom continues to extend to Gaza's population, the hospital said in a statement Tuesday.
The Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army evacuated the 30th batch of sick children from Gaza on Monday, comprising 50 children and 78 companions, who were then distributed among Jordanian hospitals for continued treatment.
Director General of the hospital Nader Albsoul said the move reflects Jordan's commitment, under King Abdullah's leadership, to providing medical and humanitarian support to Palestinians. He stressed that the hospital has mobilized its full medical capabilities and specialized staff to deliver the highest standard of care to children arriving from Gaza.
Albsoul detailed that the hospital has received 59 children from the Strip since August of last year, suffering from complex conditions involving the heart, blood, and liver. A number of them completed treatment successfully and returned to Gaza, while others remain at the hospital receiving ongoing medical care and monitoring.
The hospital will continue its medical and humanitarian role, Albsoul underscored, supporting the recovery and treatment of children arriving from Gaza.
