30 Enterprises Highlight Local Goods at 14th Yadawi Bazaar in Ajloun

Amman: The 14th "Yadawi" Platform Food and Handicraft Bazaar kicked off in the courtyard of Ajloun Castle, featuring 30 home-based enterprises showcasing their food products.

According to Jordan News Agency, Yadawi, which is Jordan's first non-profit e-commerce marketing platform, is connected with the Irada Program. This year's edition sees participation from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the northern governorates of the Kingdom. Ajloun Governor Nayef Heidayat, during the opening ceremony, emphasized the importance of hosting the bazaar, reflecting the governorate's tourism and heritage significance. He noted how the bazaar supports local producers and provides new markets for their products, boosting the domestic economy and stimulating tourism, especially at the archaeological sites that draw high visitor traffic during summer.

Governor Heidayat also highlighted the administration's dedication to supporting national initiatives that offer marketing opportunities for productive families and artisans, promoting local products, and positively impacting income levels for those involved in such ventures. Director General of the Irada Program, Sami Olimi, mentioned that organizing the bazaar aligns with the Irada Program's mission to economically empower SMEs by providing a direct marketing platform that connects beneficiaries with thousands of visitors and tourists.

Olimi further explained that the bazaar also serves to promote the "Yadawi" online platform, which offers year-round marketing services for Jordanian products. Certified food products, having passed quality and laboratory tests by the Royal Scientific Society, are featured in the bazaar. The event also showcases handicrafts and heritage products that reflect Jordanian heritage authenticity and the creativity of artisans from the northern governorates, prioritizing projects from Ajloun governorate.

Running for three days, the bazaar provides an opportunity for visitors to purchase local products and enjoy the heritage atmosphere of the site, supporting community-based tourism and enhancing the local economy.
