Amman: The Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) has commenced its graduation ceremonies for the 38th graduating class for the 2026-2027 academic year. The celebrations were inaugurated with the graduation of students from the Faculty of Medicine, marking the university's academic reputation and acknowledging the graduates' accomplishments as they begin their professional endeavors.
According to Jordan News Agency, JUST President Khaled Al Salem, who chaired the ceremony, emphasized that a medical degree transcends an academic qualification, viewing it as an ethical obligation and a humanitarian mission. He noted that a genuine physician addresses patients with both expertise and empathy, maintaining human dignity. Al Salem highlighted the global need for doctors who balance conscience and knowledge, measuring success by the positive impact they have on patients and communities.
He further stated that the university perceives its achievements as a foundation for continued excellence through investment in human resources, enhancement of scientific research, advancement of medical technologies, and expansion of international collaborations. This is aimed at preparing graduates capable of leading the future and serving their communities.
Dean of Student Affairs Majed Masadeh noted that graduation is a significant national and academic milestone, recognizing years of dedication and opening new avenues for achievement and service. He expressed confidence in JUST graduates' potential to excel and contribute significantly to Jordan and their communities.
Representing the graduates, Batool Al Kassasbeh expressed gratitude to the university's academic staff for their guidance and to the students' families for their support. She highlighted that graduation marks the start of a journey toward a future filled with ambition and accomplishments.
During the ceremony, graduates from the Faculty of Medicine recited the physicians' oath, led by Dean of the Faculty Firas Al-Qarqaz, reaffirming their commitment to medical ethics and humanitarian values. Al-Qarqaz noted that the graduates possess the necessary scientific, professional, and ethical qualifications to contribute positively to the medical field both in Jordan and globally after their academic preparation and training at the university.
The graduation ceremonies for JUST's 38th graduating class will continue through July 28, including graduates from all faculties.
