Amman: Air defense systems successfully intercepted and shot down three missiles launched from Iranian territory overnight after they entered Jordanian airspace and were heading toward the kingdom, a military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army reported. The interception operation resulted in no casualties or material damage.
According to Jordan News Agency, Royal Engineering Corps teams were deployed to the sites where the missile debris fell. These teams secured the areas and handled the remnants in accordance with established technical and security procedures. The military source emphasized that the armed forces continue to vigilantly monitor the kingdom's airspace and maintain full operational readiness.
The source further stated that the Jordanian military will respond decisively to any threat to Jordan's security, sovereignty, or the safety of its citizens, in line with the military's rules of engagement. Additionally, the source urged the public to rely on official sources for information and to refrain from circulating rumors or unverified reports.
