Amman: Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Monday evening patronized a celebration organized by the Pioneer Center for Studies and Human Rights Training in Amman to mark the kingdom's Independence Day under the theme "Independence and Investment," alongside the 10th anniversary of the center's founding. The event was attended by official and public figures, alongside economic, media, and academic representatives from Jordan and the wider Arab region, as well as delegates from public and private sector institutions.
According to Jordan News Agency, media personality Hani Al-Badri, speaking on behalf of the honorees, underscored the significance of fostering national dialogue and crafting a discourse that embodies the efforts and vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II for the betterment of Jordan. He emphasized that mutual respect and affection are the fundamental values that unite the Jordanian people.
The celebration included a panel discussion moderated by media presenter Cathy Farraj. During this session, Rania Haddadin, the director of the center, outlined the institution's decade-long journey and its future aspirations in the realms of human rights, capacity building, and entrepreneurship. Haddadin shared that the center has trained over 2,500 young individuals in leadership and investment, conducted specialized training programs for parliamentarians, and organized 12 investment conferences along with approximately 70 local and regional conferences, all aligned with royal visions on youth empowerment and development.
Haddadin further elaborated on the center's commitment to promoting a culture of human rights, empowering persons with disabilities, supporting orphans, and reinforcing concepts of citizenship, rights, and duties. The center also implements programs aimed at protecting and enhancing the capabilities of youth.
At the conclusion of the event, the center honored distinguished Jordanian and Arab economic, political, cultural, and media figures in recognition of their societal contributions, with the Royal Court chief presenting them with honorary plaques.
