Amman: The Hashemite University (HU) announced that its High Diploma in Teacher Preparation has recently achieved international accreditation from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
According to Jordan News Agency, HU President Khaled Hyari emphasized that this recognition underscores the university's dedication to achieving academic excellence. Hyari attributed the accomplishment to effective collaboration among faculty members, support departments, the Ministry of Education, local schools, and international experts.
Hyari further highlighted that the university is guided by the royal vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, which prioritizes quality education and human capital as key components of national development. He stressed that investing in well-qualified teachers is crucial for advancing Jordan's educational system.
Aieman Omari, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Human Development, described this achievement as a pivotal moment for the department. He affirmed that the faculty will continue to enhance its programs and foster partnerships to maintain its status as a national hub for training exceptional educators.
The event concluded with an awards ceremony honoring faculty staff, the student affairs dean, the accreditation team, and the program's advisory board, which includes representatives from the Ministry of Education and school principals. The university also acknowledged key external partners, such as IREX, the Queen Rania Teacher Academy, and participating mentor teachers and student volunteers.
