Amman: The Ministry of Government Communication has published the primary features of the Draft Professional Work Regulation Law for 2026, which the House of Representatives approved for referral to the Parliamentary Labour, Social Development and Population Committee for discussion.
According to Jordan News Agency, the draft law aims to regulate the professional and technical labour market and workers in the sector by requiring graduates of vocational training institutions to obtain professional practice certificates. It also provides for licensing vocational and technical training service providers and accrediting training programmes and trainers by the Ministry of Labour.
The draft includes establishing a unified channel to coordinate with relevant authorities on fulfilling licensing requirements, supervising the implementation of training programmes, organizing professional examinations and professional practice, and strengthening monitoring and inspection of professional establishments.
