Beijing: Jordanian Nursing Council (JNC) has coordinated the Kingdom's participation in the "Public Health for Developing Countries" program, organized by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO) of the Ministry of Commerce. The event, conducted in cooperation with the Beijing Health Promotion Association (BJHPA), is scheduled from July 9 to 22, 2026. It involves officials and experts from various developing countries.
According to Jordan News Agency, JNC's Secretary-General, Dr. Hani Nawafleh, emphasized that this participation aligns with the council's strategy to strengthen Jordan's presence in specialized international programs and forums. It also aims to build collaborative ties with leading global institutions. Dr. Nawafleh highlighted the significance of the program in facilitating knowledge and expertise exchange, which in turn supports efforts to develop Jordan's health sector and enhance the efficiency of its human health resources.
Dr. Nawafleh stated the council is eager to use its international relations and partnerships to create new opportunities for Jordanian talent. This initiative is expected to facilitate learning from successful global experiences, positively impacting the development of health policies, improving service quality, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous professional development.
The program serves as an international platform for dialogue and expertise exchange among participants and experts. It addresses several priority areas for developing health systems, including public health strategies, health policy development, disease prevention, response to major health events, chronic disease management, maternal and child health, smart health, and traditional Chinese medicine.
Additionally, the program includes field visits to health and educational institutions in Beijing and Hangzhou. These visits aim to provide insights into the Chinese experience in enhancing health services and the integration of technology and innovation in healthcare.
Dr. Nawafleh underscored the importance of this participation as a means to bolster Jordanian-Chinese cooperation in public health, medical human resource development, education and training, and scientific research. The collaboration is anticipated to benefit from leading international experiences, supporting the advancement of Jordan's national health system and ensuring it keeps pace with global changes in the health sector.
