FM Receives Phone Call from Qatari Counterpart Discussing Regional Cooperation and Mediation Efforts

Amman: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi received a phone call on Friday evening from Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. During the conversation, they explored ways to enhance cooperation between their two countries in various sectors.

According to Jordan News Agency, the ministers reviewed mediation efforts between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both expressed satisfaction with the progress in negotiations and welcomed the announcement by Pakistani mediators that a final peace agreement text had been achieved. They expressed optimism about the potential signing of the agreement by the United States and Iran in the near future.

Safadi and Sheikh Mohammed reiterated their support for resolving issues through dialogue and peaceful means. They highlighted the importance of promoting regional and international security and stability, underscoring their commitment to collaborative efforts in addressing challenges in the region.
