Hashemite Fund’s Olive Oil Wins Double Silver at International Competitions

Amman: The Hashemite Fund for the Development of Jordan Badia (HFDJB) has achieved significant recognition on the global stage by winning two international awards for its extra virgin olive oil, which is produced at the Sabha Development Group in the North-Eastern Badia.

According to Jordan News Agency, the HFDJB's high-quality olive oil received silver awards at both the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards (GOOA) and the London International Olive Oil Competitions (LIOOC). This achievement highlights the fund's commitment to excellence and underscores its standing in international arenas dedicated to the quality of extra virgin olive oil.

This year marks the third consecutive year that the fund has secured such honors, with the Berlin silver award following a bronze win last year. HRH Princess Basma bint Ali, Chairperson of the HFDJB Board of Trustees, emphasized that these accolades demonstrate the superior quality of Jordanian olive oil and reflect the success of implementing rigorous agricultural and production standards.

The awards not only showcase the excellence of Jordanian olive oil but also highlight the ongoing efforts to develop the agricultural sector and boost the competitiveness of national products in global markets. Princess Basma bint Ali noted that such international recognition is a testament to the quality and competitiveness of Jordanian products.

Furthermore, HFDJB Director Ayesh Qatarneh announced that this achievement has been officially recorded on the Elite Olive Oils Global Index. This listing enhances the international profile of the fund's products, cementing their status among the world's elite olive oil offerings. Qatarneh added that proactive steps have been taken to participate in international competitions to further elevate the product's economic value and prestige.
