Amman: The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) on Tuesday launched the 15th cycle of its civil service development project, enrolling 17 public sector employees from various ministries and government institutions in an intensive leadership and management training program.
According to Jordan News Agency, KAFD Director General Samer Al-Mufleh said the project aligns with Jordan's Public Sector Modernization Roadmap and reflects the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II to build efficient state institutions capable of improving the quality of public services.
Al-Mufleh added that the project reinforces KAFD's role as a national umbrella supporting development and modernization initiatives, with a primary focus on investing in human resources and cultivating leadership capabilities within the public sector.
Implemented in partnership with the UK-based Inspirational Group, the program targets mid-level public sector managers. Participants were selected following a series of standardized evaluations and interviews to identify high-potential candidates.
The curriculum consists of three training phases, with two conducted in Jordan and a third held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom. The training model bridges theory and practice, covering leadership and followership, negotiation, problem-solving, persuasion, and decision-making.
The program also incorporates training on leveraging artificial intelligence tools in leadership and public policy development, alongside a practical field study at Sandhurst to enhance high-performance teamwork and equip participants to handle modern administrative challenges.
Since its inception, the project has completed 14 cycles, benefiting 337 government employees. According to KAFD, 147 past participants have successfully advanced to senior leadership positions across various state institutions, demonstrating the program's impact on public sector career trajectories.
