Israeli Airstrike Kills Lebanese Soldier, Wounds 20 in Southern Lebanon

Beirut: The Lebanese Army announced on Wednesday evening that one of its soldiers was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting the Kfarman-Khardali road in the Nabatieh district of southern Lebanon.

According to Jordan News Agency, a Lebanese security source reported that at least 20 people were injured, some critically, after Israeli warplanes struck the Al-Bass Palestinian refugee camp in the southern city of Tyre on Wednesday evening. The source indicated that Tyre is witnessing significant displacement toward the city of Sidon following Israeli warnings urging residents of southern Lebanon, particularly those in Tyre, to evacuate north of the Zahrani River.

The source further mentioned that Israeli airstrikes are continuing across the city of Nabatieh and surrounding towns, as well as the town of Adchit in the Marjayoun district. Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that the cumulative death toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive since March 2 has risen to 3,269 people killed and 9,840 wounded as of May 27.
