Gaza: The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in cooperation with the Jordanian Campaign, has initiated an "Eid Clothing" program targeting children in the Gaza Strip in anticipation of Eid Al-Adha.
According to Jordan News Agency, the campaign is part of a broader series of humanitarian and relief efforts, which include distributing food parcels, hot meals, water, shelter tents, and other emergency interventions. These efforts are aimed at supporting families affected by the ongoing crisis and enhancing their resilience in the face of adversity.
In a statement released on Friday, the organization announced that field teams have already commenced the distribution of Eid clothing in various areas across the Gaza Strip. The campaign, set to last a week, aims to bring joy to children and provide support to families enduring exceptionally challenging humanitarian and living conditions.
The organization emphasized that the distribution process is carried out with respect for the privacy and dignity of the families. It focuses on reaching children in displacement areas and the most vulnerable communities, ensuring that aid is delivered directly and efficiently to those in greatest need.
Hussein Shibli, Secretary-General of the JHCO, reiterated that the continued implementation of humanitarian programs in Gaza signifies Jordan's steadfast support and commitment, under King Abdullah II's leadership, to the Palestinian people in all humanitarian circumstances. "Despite the harsh living conditions, the Eid Clothing Program seeks to give children in Gaza a sense of Eid joy," Shibli stated. "Children there need not only assistance but also a feeling of care, reassurance, and hope."
